MSU Baroda provides admissions to engineering courses through the Faculty of Technology and Engineering. For BTech admissions, JEE Main scores are considered. On the other hand, GATE scores are accepted for MTech admissions. Students willing to apply for the BTech course can fill out JEE Main application form session 2 on or before March 2. The JEE Main Session 2 will be held between April 4 - April 15, 2024.

Later, with the inception of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in 1949, it became a constituent faculty of the university.
